- 3 July 2015, Zagreb: Within the framework of the project “Roma Inclusion Advocacy Project”, implemented by the Centre for Peace, Legal Advice and Psychosocial Assistance - Vukovar, STINA Institute from Split and the Association of Roma Friendship LUNA from Beli Manastir, a roundtable discussion "Report on the implementation of the alternative monitoring of the implementation of the National Strategy for Roma Inclusion 2013 – 2020 in Croatia“ was organized in Zagreb. The purpose of this roundtable was to present the results of the alternative monitoring of the implementation of measures for Roma inclusion at local and regional levels in 5 counties this project is being implemented.

During the roundtable discussion, the Overall monitoring report of the NSRI implementation was presented, a result of the process of the monitoring of the implementation of measures of the National Strategy for Roma Inclusion and the accompanying Action Plan. Aside from that, the manual for the “Alternative monitoring and advocacy for the implementation of the National Strategy for Roma Inclusion 2013 - 2020 - Guidelines for local Roma activists and representatives” was presented as well. 

Monitoring results were presented by Roma associates from the 5 counties: Mr. Bojan Balog, president of the association „For the benefit of Roma in Medjimurje“ from Goričan, Mr. Franjo Horvat from the Roma association „Step by step“ from Koprivnica, Mr. Stanoje Nikolić, president of Roma Cultural Center in Sisak, Ms. Tamara Bošnjak, volunteer at Association of Roma Friendship LUNA from Beli Manastir and Čedo Todorović from the Association of Roma of Romanian origin "Ludari".

The round table was attended by representatives of the ministries, Roma community, regional authorities, institutions, educational institutions, state agencies and Roma associations.

 

- 2 July 2015, Vukovar: Center for Peace, Legal Advice and Psychosocial Assistance - Vukovar in cooperation with activists from five Roma civil society organizations / associates from 5 counties active in the implementation of the project "Roma Inclusion Advocacy Project", drafted and published  the "Report on the Implementation of the Alternative Monitoring of the Implementation of the National Strategy for Roma Inclusion 2013 – 2020 in Croatia for 2014" produced within the framework of the project, financially supported through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance of the European Union (IPA - 2007).

This comprehensive report consists of five separate reports related to the areas of five counties covered by the project.

"Roma Inclusion Advocacy Project" is financed by the European Social Fund of the EU within IPA Component IV "Human Resources Development: Supporting CSOs Advocacy and Motivation Programmes for Socially Excluded Groups". Contracting authority in the Republic of Croatia is the National Foundation for Civil Society Development and the share of co-financing of the project was provided by the Office for Human Rights and Rights od National Minorities of the Croatian Government.
