 - 26 – 27 July 2016, Zagreb / Vukovar: At the end of July, two follow-up workshops for strengthening the capacity of members of the Roma national councils and elected representatives, as well as members of Roma associations were organized in Zagreb, in Hotel Panorama, and in Vukovar, in Hotel Lav.

The aim of the workshop was to further strengthen Roma councils and representatives and members of associations in order to better cooperate with local self-governments and other stakeholders in the implementation of the National Roma Inclusion Strategy. The workshop is a continuation of earlier activities carried out under the project "Fostering implementation of the National Roma Inclusion Strategy at local and regional level". 35 persons attended the workshops conducted by David D. Orlović from RNC and Ljubomir Mikić from Center for Peace - Vukovar.

- 26 – 28 July 2016, Subotica (Serbia): Representative of the Center for Peace – Vukovar, Branislav Tekic, participated in the 2nd thematic meeting of the regional network of non-governmental organizations from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia. Draft documents analysing the problems of displaced persons, evaluation of sustainability of housing solutions within the existing housing model, particularly within the framework of the Regional Housing Program and its implementation in the countries of the region, were presented at the meeting. Subjects presented in the documents will be the foundation of the future advocacy activities of the network.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the program "Development of the Civil Society Network in the Western Balkans", implemented by the Group 484 from Belgrade (Serbia) with the support of the OSCE Mission in Serbia.

- 5 July 2016, Slavonski Brod: The first meeting of the Platform for consultation and cooperation between Roma stakeholders, units of the local and regional self-governments and public institutions stakeholders at the local, regional and national level was held in Slavonski Brod, as one of the activities carried out within the framework of the project "Fostering implementation of the National Roma Inclusion Strategy at local and regional level", which aims to encourage the implementation of the National Strategy, improve the cooperation and coordinate the workings of partners and other stakeholders whose activities are aimed at improving the socio-economic status of Roma in the Republic of Croatia and their inclusion. The project is implemented by Roma National Council in partnership with the Center for Peace, Legal Advice and Psychosocial Assistance - Vukovar. The project is financed by the EU within IPA 2012 Program and co-financed by the Office for NGOs of the Croatian Government.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Croatian government, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Croatian Employment Service (CES) Regional Office in Slavonski Brod, the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, the Ministry of Construction and the Office of Ombudsman.
