Dunapack- 16 July, 2012, Zabok: Representative of the Center for Peace – Vukovar Mr. Branislav Tekić, as a representative of the contact point and person responsible for the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation concluded with the Office of Ombudsman in the field of combating discrimination for the region of Eastern Croatia, attended a training/workshop organized on the premises of Cardboard Factory „Dunapack“ in Zabok, within the framework of the project „Equal in Diversity“. The project „Equal in Diversity“ (EQUAL) is financed with the support of the EU within the Community Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity (PROGRESS). The programme is implemented by the Croatia Employment Service in partnership with the Office for Human Rights of the government of the Republic of Croatia and the Office of Ombudsman. Main goals of the project include strengthening the capacities of key stakeholders of the labor market in combating discrimination, development and promotion of good anti-discriminatory practices amongst employers and raising public awareness on issues of antidiscrimination and diversity.


Ecka 2012- 10 – 12 July, 2012, Ečka, (Republic of Serbia): Representatives of the Center for Peace – Vukovar attended the second meeting of the regional network comprised of NGOs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and Croatia in 2012, organized within the framework of the project „Development of the Civil Society Network in the Western Balkans region“ implemented by Group 484 from Belgrad4e and supported by the Mission of OSCE in the Republic of Serbia. Topics of the second working meeting were: Access to Rights in Displacement (access to documentation, economic, social and cultural rights); Rule of Law and Access to Justice in the Place of Origin (Effective Protection of Property Rights; Lengths of Proceedings before Kosovo Courts; access to Kosovo Courts; issues related to the functioning of the Kosovo Property Agency); Mission of OSCE in Kosovo Report. The rapporteurs were: Jelena Medarović (Praxis, Serbia), Miroslav Drašković (Balkan Center for Migrations, Serbia) and Massimo Moratti and Milica V. Matijević (Legal Aid Programme, Serbia). The regional network also adopted comprehensive conclusions of the working meeting. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Mission of OSCE in the Republic of Serbia Mr. Jan Lueneburg.
