- 19 September 2013, Zlatibor (Serbia): Representatives of the Center for Peace - Vukovar participated in this year's second thematic meeting of the regional network of non-governmental human-rights organizations organized within the framework of the program "Development of the Civil Society Network in the Western Balkans region”, implemented by Group 484 from Belgrade with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia. The meeting was attended by representatives of NGOs from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the course of the meeting participants agreed on common positions, future developments and joint activities of the regional network.



- 17-18 September 2013, Osijek: PGF Croatia project team organized the third and last training „Preparation and implementation of EU projects“ – Module III within the framework of the "Project Generation Facility" project (PGF Croatia) and financially supported by the OSF Budapest. The aim of the training was to increase knowledge and skills of young people to successfully prepare, develop and implement EU funded projects. The training was intended for young people active in Roma and pro-Roma organization active in working to improve the quality of life of Roma and the entire Roma community in the Republic of Croatia.



- 16 - 19 September 2013, Zlatibor (Serbia): Representatives of the Center for Peace - Vukovar participated in training on migration and international human rights law. Training topics were issues of custody and international human rights law, economic, social and cultural rights and migrations, and the applicability of international remedies. Content of the training included exercises with prepared scenarios of cases and trial simulation.
The lecturer was Massimo Frigo from the International Commission of Jurist (ICJ) in Geneva, Switzerland. The event was organized by the OSCE Mission in the Republic of Serbia, Group 484, Belgrade (Serbia) and the International Commission of Jurists in Geneva (Switzerland).



- 13 September 2013, Zagreb: Representatives of the Center for Peace - Vukovar, Ljubomir Mikić and Branislav Tekić participated in a public debate organized by the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Croatian Government on the occasion of the presentation of the ‘Action Plan for the removal of obstacles to the exercise of particular rights in the area of integration of foreigners in the Croatian society, for the period of 2013 to 2015'. Croatia’s joining the European Union changed the migration trends, which provide new opportunities for the acknowledgement and integration of foreigners as full members of the society. Since integration indicates ensuring equal status of foreigners in the economic, social and cultural life, the public debate mostly discussed topics such as education and information dissemination of foreigners, as well as their rights in the fields of labor, employment, housing, social welfare and health care in order to achieve the status of permanent residence, citizenship and full integration.

- 10 September 2013, Vukovar: Member of the Center for Peace – Vukovar, Mr. Ljubomir Mikić, participated in the Radio Danube – Vukovar broadcast „A guest at the studio“. The appearance of our member at the mentioned radio show was dedicated to the appraisal of the topic of accessing rights of persons belonging to Serb national minority to an equal official use of Serb language and Cyrillic script in Vukovar, with the focus on the recent events from the perspective of the rule of law and accessing and protecting human and minority rights.
